Tourist Attraction in Enna: Museo Archeologico Regionale di Enna
The Regional Archaeological Museum of Enna was established in the last twenty years in Enna by the Sicilian Region to exhibit the findings brought to light in the excavations that the Superintendency of Enna's cultural and environmental heritage conducted mainly in 1979 in numerous archaeological sites in the province of Enna . The Museum is housed in the ancient and prestigious Varisano palace (known as the "Varisano Museum") which, with its Baroque façade, faces the cathedral of Enna, right in the historic center. From this Palace the hero of the two worlds, Giuseppe Garibaldi, pronounced the famous phrase: "O Rome or death!" The collection consists of 5 exhibition halls and numerous dozens of showcases, on whose shelves are placed archaeological finds from necropolis and various sites, including those of Cozzo Matrice (Pergusa), Necropoli Realmense (Calascibetta), Capodarso, Cerami, Pietraperzia.
