Tourist Attraction in Trani:
Chiesa di San Donato e Torre dell'Orologio
The place where stands the church of San Donato and the adjacent medieval tower, seems to have been one of the first inhabited places. Of the church there is no certain information on the year of its construction, originally this church was known under the title of San Salvatore, while that of San Donato we know that it was partially rebuilt in 1847 when the ceiling collapsed. The medieval tower was an ancient watchtower built by the Universitas, or the City, on which stands a clock of the fifteenth century.
