Tourist Attraction in Tempio Pausania: Chiesa di Santa Croce
The church of Santa Croce is a religious building located in Tempio Pausania, a town of Gallura, in northeastern Sardinia. The church is located in St. Peter's Square and stands beside St. Peter's Cathedral with which it shares the bell tower. During a recent restoration of a rock emerging beneath the presbytery bearing the Greek letter Y (gamma), it is believed that the origin of the building was very ancient, more than that of the nearby cathedral. It hosted the homonymous brotherhood until 1813, when it was suppressed.
